• Bridges - Has career exploration activities, occupational profiles and a parent guide to career and education planning.
• Canadian Careers - Shows resources for exploring career options, marketing yourself and for finding work.
• Career Connections - Features student resources and a school database that lists by name and location. You can also search by course/program.
• Career Cruising - Provides a Career Matchmaker, which matches interests and skills to occupations best suited for you. Also has occupational profiles and resources for career advisors and teachers.
• Career Currents - Provides career resources in the animation industry, and also gives student resources and a student database.
• Career Explorer - Search for occupations in Canada, United States and overseas and take an aptitude test. Has information about financial aid options as well.
• Career Gateway - Up-to-date labour market information, how to create cover letters and resumes, information on entrepreneurship, links for distance education programs and information on employment insurance, the Young Workers Awareness Program, The Canadian Labour Code, workplace safety, and insurance board & employment standards.
• Career Owl - Provides online resume posting, job postings, a Canadian Business Directory and resources for job-seekers.
• Human Resources Development Canada: Youth Employment - Details on the Canada Student Loans Program, has information on International Academic Mobility (IAM) which encourages Canadian students to access learning opportunities abroad. Also has information on the Youth Employment Strategy.
• Human Resources Development Canada--Youth - Lists summer job postings, has a step-by-step guide to help you get your first job and information on employment trends and career profiles.
• Job Search Canada - Gives you access to an accessment centre (career test, career interest inventory test) and an education centre and showcases career advice.
• Job Futures - Take the "Know Yourself" quiz which results in a list of occupations that may be suitable for each individual. Also gives statistical information such as average annual earnings, outlooks and an average unemployment rate.
• MazeMaster - Provides a job board and summer jobs for youths. There is also resources for career counselors & educators (self assessment, job search techniques, training & education).
• Monster.ca - Find occupations in your community, post your resume, search the specialized job searches and make sure to test yourself in the self-assessment centre.
• Next Steps - This site answers all your career questions, and has links to international career sites. Also features career video interviews, magazine archives and Internship Resources.
• True Careers - Has an international job search feature and a job alerts e-mail service. Lots of career resources too (career-related articles, resume & cover letter advice, salary calculator and interview-related articles).
• WetFeet.com - Showcases company interviews and profiles, career and industry profiles, a salary calculator, self-assessment articles and job listings by location, keyword and company.
• Workopolis - Gives disability resources, "What To Do With My Degree" information, salary information and a resource centre (resume writing, interviews, students and women in the workplace).
